Description

Building on the success of the first online Downtown Revitalization Community of Practice (DRCOP) held in November 2017, the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) is pleased to launch the second session in the series, to be held on March 29th, 2018, from 10:30-12:00.

The theme of March’s session is physical improvements to the downtown, and their potential to support the success of businesses. The session will feature presentations from design, landscape architecture, and planning firm Stempski Kelly Associates Inc. on their experience around Ontario; the Township of Cavan Monaghan on their physical improvements undertaken in in Millbrook; and the City of Belleville on the impacts of their Build Belleville project. The session will also provide opportunities for open exchanges on challenges and opportunities faced by communities doing physical improvements in their downtown and main street areas, and an update on resources being launched to assist with coordinating Ontario’s downtown revitalization community.
